More Hits
by Birks on September 29, 2005 in Uncategorized
Our blog’s nature is purely just a personal blog. We blog mostly about our adventures, food trips, highlights of our normal daily activities, gimiks, etc. We treat it just like our not-too-private online diary. So I never really thought that some of our posts would still gain hits months after it has been posted. Two particular posts that are still getting hits are the “Deceived by Jollibee Advertisement” and the “Kuhala Bay Resort” posts. The Jollibee post so far got the most comments in our blog. ![]()

Aren’t they adorable? I found these pictures through the phildogs yahoogroups. These photos were taken by Nathaniel and these adorable puppies are his pet dalmatians named Biskitte and Ballerina.
See more of his pet portraits here.

Dining with Angels at Heaven ‘n Eggs
by Birks on September 09, 2005 in Food Trip, Photoblog
Last Wednesday, we had another dinner date with friends. We decided to try this new restaurant at Glorietta 4 (near Bread Talk) called Heaven ‘n Eggs. I like the look and feel of the resto. The walls are decorated with paintings of clouds and there are little porcelain angels hanging from the ceiling. They also have swinging chairs. Lovely and unique but it was a bit difficult eating while sitting on those swings. Donj ordered the Angus Tapa with Eggs while I got the Country Style Ham with Egg…more commonly known as the “Tapsilog” and “Hamsilog”.
The Angus Tapa was OK, so was the Country Style Ham. I couldn’t really say I loved it, or maybe it’s just because I expected more since their food was a bit pricey. The Angus Tapa costs more than P200 and the Country Style Ham I think was about P195.

Yotsuya Ghost Story (Yotsuya Kaidan)
by Birks on September 05, 2005 in Movies
Yesterday, Donj and I were able to watch one of the Jap Horror Films showing at the Shangri-la Plaza Mall. We watched the Yotsuya Ghost Story. Since the screening time was 5pm, we went there as early as 3pm for our tickets. Admission is free which is why at 3pm, a lot of people have already lined up at the ticket booth. It was an R-18 movie so some of the teens who were lining up weren’t allowed to be given tickets unless they had ID’s proving that they are already 18 yrs. old or older.

Dinner and Overnight with Friends
by Birks on September 05, 2005 in Personal
Last Friday after office, I met up with 2 of my closest friends and had dinner at Teriyaki Boy, Glorietta. We don’t usually get enough time to spend with each other anymore so this was one of our rare spending-time-and-catching-up-with-each-other moments. I wish we could do it a little more often though. But it’s quite difficult with us having different work schedules. After dinner we headed straight home and spent the night chit-chatting, sharing the “what’s new, what’s up and what’s down” on each other’s lives.

EIGA SAI 2005 – Japanese Horror Films
by Birks on September 02, 2005 in Movies, News, Web Links
A series of classic Japanese Horror films is currently showing on screen at the Shangri-la Plaza Mall in Ortigas, courtesy of The Japan Foundation, Manila. Tickets are for FREE but it is advised to avail of the tickets at least about 2 hours before screening time. Screening schedule can be found here and film details can be found here.
I am one horror freak and I really wanna watch some of these films. I hope Donj and I can watch on Sunday. ![]()

Hello world!
by Birks on September 01, 2005 in Uncategorized
This is our new blog site. We were supposed to transfer back from Mambo to Blogger but decided to move to WordPress instead. I found it easier to create a theme/template in WordPress and there are way more plugins for WordPress than there are in Blogger. Our previous layout was also already getting very old, I just felt we needed a fresh new design. Links to our previous blog archives are still available here.
