Pinoy Big Brother Theme Song — Not Exactly Original

I was never really a fan of Pinoy reality shows but I can’t deny that I got hooked on Pinoy Big Brother. In it’s first few episodes, I thought that it was dull and boring but later on, let’s just say that I finally got amused.
Anyway, its theme song entitled “Pinoy Ako” was composed(?) and sung by the local band Orange and Lemons. What’s interesting though is that I’ve learned from 2 blogs (here and here) that the melody of the song is closely similar to an 80′s song entitled Chandeliers by a band called The Care. since im an avid new waver.. unang dinig ko pa lang alam ko ng kanta ng the care yun eh.. tsk! pero base lang daw.. actually, same talaga ang melody ,. sabagay yung iba namang banda dati madami na ring ganyan ang ginawa kuha din sa mga new waves noon..
