by Birks on December 31, 2006 in Personal, News, Web Links

Last Friday, Koolitz and I, along with his mom, sister, and nieces went to visit the MV Doulos, a floating book fair. (I went back the next day with my family. Hehe.) They sell lots of books with subjects ranging from Arts, Science, Sports, Pets, Christianity, Cooking, Dictionaries and other references, Children’s storybooks, activity books, and more. These books are for sale on board the ship for very low prices. I bought one book on Dog Care, 1 wall calendar, 1 desk calendar and 5 pencils which I’m going to add to my pencil collection.

Mag-Aso Falls
by Birks on December 29, 2006 in Travel

Yesterday, we went on a trip to Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental to visit Koolitz’ uncle and family. We then went up to the mountains and took a tour of Mag-Aso Falls. Mag-Aso Falls is a mountain resort which has not been fully developed yet. There is no entrance fee for now and there aren’t a lot of people or tourists yet but there are a few people who come from time to time to go swimming near the falls. I personally loved the view of the mountains, trees, and most especially the falls. It was kinda hot up there though. When we left the resort, we were sweating like pigs! ![]()

I would like to introduce the future photographer in our family - my niece Aleya!
She is only 5 years old but she already has the skills! I can already make her as my VA (volunteer assistant) during birthday party events or even in weddings! Check her in action!

Aleya is holding a Canon EOS 30D with 580EX flash.

Lucas Goes to the Vet
by Birks on December 24, 2006 in Personal
Last December 17, we brought Lucas to the vet for his annual shots. We went to the Animal House branch at the SM Mall of Asia. He was such a good boy! I first thought he would make a scene as he would always get so excited when there are lots of people around. He usually loves having everybody’s attention. But at the vet, I guess he became tense and nervous that he behaved while we were there. Whew!
Lucas has a blog about it. Read here.

Flash Flood
by koolitz on December 21, 2006 in Personal, News

For the first time in the history, our house in Bacolod was flooded with water - about 4″ inches deep. My sister told me that the level of water outside our house was about 3″ and 4″ deep along the streets. Whoaahh!!!
Is it a bad timing since we will have our vacation there this coming weekend? ![]()
