Zoobic Safari in Subic

After witnessing the colorful hot air balloons at Clark, Pampanga, we headed for Subic to visit the Zoobic Safari. I was so excited to see tigers up-close. I hate cats but I don’t know why I like tigers. I just think they’re adorable. :D It was a looong trip going there, most especially that none of us really knew the way going to Zoobic so we kinda got lost a few times.

Entrance fee for Zoobic costs P395 per head. As you enter the zoo lobby, you will already get to see the cages with lots of playful tigers inside. Beside those cages, there is the photo shop where visitors can do more than just watch the tigers, they can also get to pet and feed the tigers while having their pictures taken! You have to pay an extra P240 for this though. I really really wanted to touch/hold/pet/feed the tigers (ever since I was a kid) so we got in line. :)

Here’s our pic:

I like their zoo because it’s a bit more interactive compared to other zoos. Some of the animals freely roam, but of course that does not include the large animals and the ones that bite.

Zoobic Safari attractions include a Tiger Safari, a Petting Zoo, a Crocodile Farm, a Serpentarium, a Picnic ground, a Coffee Shop and a Safari Village. We didn’t get to see the Crocodile Farm anymore because we were already very hungry that time so we decided to cut that part of the tour. We did get to ride the Safari Jeep though.

One of the highlights of the park is the Tiger Safari. The Safari Jeep takes you to the place where tigers freely roam. For an additional cost, you can also buy chickens to feed the tigers during the safari ride. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to buy any chickens so the tigers didn’t really seem that interested to come near our jeep. That would have been more fun. :D

After the tour, we decided to leave and look for a place to eat. But just before exiting Zoobic, we spotted Francine Prieto (a local celebrity) at the Zoobic lobby. Of course, the guys didn’t want to let this opportunity pass. They had to take pictures of her too. :)
