Criminal Minds Without Agent Gideon?

I’ve been watching a marathon of Criminal Minds (a CBS crime drama tv series) and I just totally got hooked. I can’t wait for Season 3. But wait, what’s this talk about Mandy Patinkin (the actor who plays FBI BAU Supervisory Special Agent Jason Gideon) being written out of the season premiere of Criminal Minds? Reports say that he might be let go from the show because he failed to report to work.
TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello reports that the actor is probably “embroiled in some kind of nasty contract standoff with the network.” He also mentions that the show is coincidentally putting out a casting call for a character that fits Patinkin’s description.
Well, I don’t know how Criminal Minds would be like without him. I like his character and I like the way he portrays it. The BAU team just wouldn’t be complete without Gideon.

Oh… I made the same thing that your. A marathon and be totally hooked and now that alarming news.
I really wait that only it´s a rumor or something to get the attention.
I agree in that, if not this Gideon the team could not work the same as now and considering the end of the second season, I shiver of only to think it.
I really want to see the third season soon, when we will be able to see it?

yeah i absolutely fell in love with Criminal Minds the first time watched it cant wait for the 3rd season to come back on September 26!! i really hope that CBS was just trying to get publicity or something from this Patinkin fiasco( i don’t think thats how you spell it
i honestly can’t imagine a single episode without Gideon he’s the leader of the group you simply can’t replace a charachter as important as him and get away with it.

i am mortified about the departure of mandy. i would love to ask these morons why they would let one of the most important characters go over money. bottom line here is they have a very popular show and when it aint broke don’t fix it! i really hope they reconsider their blunder before the integrity of the show is compromised. mandy will really be missed.

I have been watching the new episodes of criminal minds and I do
love the show but not like I used to. Gideon was my favorite. He
can’t be replaced. Please bring him back.

I agree–I am not sure I will continue to watch without Gideon. I really like the other characters but he made the team complete. I am expecting him to show up and look for him throughout the show. We need him to complete the show.
Get rid of the rotten new boss lady.

agree with the others about Mandy Patinkin not being on the show.
It will not be the same without him. When you get a good character ,wh
why change things over somthing stupid. I really think this show will
now loose all hope of continueing to go on. Please bring back Mandy

mandy patikin is a great actor especially in criminal minds..
He portray his character just like a real detective… They should
bring agent gideon back……
it’s not that good without him….
