Heroes: Kensei is NOT Japanese

Well that explains why David Anders landed the role of Kensei. Many people/fans reacted when the news got out that David Anders (from Alias) is going to play the part of the legendary warrior Kensei, Hiro’s hero from childhood. They questioned how this is possible as he is not Japanese and Kensei is supposed to be Japanese. Well, let us be reminded that we only assumed Kensei is Japanese but it wasn’t really mentioned that he is. Masi Oka quotes “If you remember, Kensei didn’t look Japanese in the ancient tapestry [seen in Season 1].” ![]()
Let’s not forget that this is Heroes — the show that’s always full of mysteries/surprises and the show where the impossible is not always necessarily impossible. ![]()
