“As Michael starts to hatch an escape scheme, Whistler warns him that if he doesn’t give up the book, he’ll tell the Company that Linc has it. Michael is unfazed. He asks to borrow McGrady’s cross necklace, but McGrady demands to know why.
Linc, still freaked by the bloody box, visits Michael, who asks Linc to make friends with the prison gravedigger. We see in flashback what was in the box: Sara’s severed head.
Michael cuts the power in the prison, then visits a trembling Mahone, going through withdrawal, to enlist him in his escape plan. He asks for a black felt tip pen. Bellick’s watching. Mahone begins to hallucinate that Haywire is there, warning him against trusting Michael.
A man tries to escape; Lechero catches him and cuts his Achilles tendons in front of the other prisoners. Meanwhile, Sofia visits Whistler and insists on helping. Whistler asks her to dig into the Scofield brothers’ pasts. And Linc meets with Susan, who demands Linc give her the real book.
When Sucre refuses to help, Linc enlists Sofia as a translator so he can make friends with the prison gravedigger. The gravedigger recognizes Sofia from the prison gates. Okay, they’re going to have to try honesty.” continue reading episode 04 recap

The Ruins in Talisay City
by koolitz on November 10, 2007 in Personal, Photoblog -

“The structure of The Ruins is of Italianate achitecture with neo-Romanesque columns, having a very close semblance to the facade of Carnegie Hall in New York City. In New England, they often were homes to ship’s captians. A belvedere, facing west, affords a beautiful view of the sunset in a glassed-in sunroom with bay windows.
The mansion was built in the early 1900’s by the sugar baron, Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson (1865-1948) and was home to his unmarried children with his first wife, Maria Braga Lacson (+1911), a Portuguese from Macau. The mansion was the largest residential structure ever built at that time and had in it one of the finest furnitures, chinawares, and decorative items, as the father of the Maria Braga was a captain of a ship that sailed across Europe and Asia and would cart with him these items. One of their daughters maintained a beautiful garden of lilies in and around the 4-tiered fountain fronting the mansion, all brought in from abroad.
One of the sons supervised the construction of th mansion making certain that the A-grade mixture of concrete and its pouring was presisely followed.
The mansion met its sad fate in the early part of World War II (1942) when the USAFFE (United States Armed Forces in the Far East), then the guerilla fighters in the Philippines, burnt the mansion to prevent the Japanese forces from utilizing it as their headquarters. It took days of inferno to bring down the roof and the two-inch wooden floors.
To this day, the 903 square meter structure still stands tall amidst sugar plantation and continues to awe both local and foreign tourists. Truly, a picture-perfect backdrop and a magnificent sight to see.”

CSI talks about Pinoy Balut

After the controversial scene in Desperate Housewives, here’s another scene from CSI Season 8 episode 3 where they mentioned about pinoy’s well-known delicacy - Balut. Nick saw something like some human internal parts but Warrick told him that it looks like balut!
Warrick said that his grandma’s best friend is from Manila that is why he knows about it. And Nick answered “…and it tastes like chicken”. Maybe Nick already tried eating balut hehehe.
It seems that tv series in the US today always mentions or give remarks about Filipinos.

“Sucre comes to Lincoln, looking for money. He refuses to help Linc look for Sara and LJ. Meanwhile, Michael finds that Lechero isn’t interested in any kind of truce with him. Lincoln visits Michael and shows him today’s photo of Sara and LJ. Sara’s pointing to the words “Santa Rita” on the paper they’re holding up. Could that be where they’re being held?
Linc tells Susan that Michael won’t help with Whistler until he talks to Sara to make sure she’s ok. Susan refuses, and Michael learns there’s only one phone in Sona – and Lechero has it.
Mahone meets with his public defender and finds that he has a trial date – next year. And even if Michael testifies he set Mahone up, it won’t wash – one inmate taking the fall for another is common. Realizing how trapped he is, Mahone begs for his medication. The attorney simply thinks he’s a drug addict and abandons him. Mahone turns to the other addicts in the prison for a fix of something, anything. Before he can shoot up, Whistler, realizing Michael isn’t entirely on his side, forges an uneasy alliance with Mahone.
Meanwhile, Whistler has an emotional reunion with Sofia at the visitor’s cage. She says the book was taken by Scofield’s brother. Putting the pieces together, he says it’s okay that Lincoln has the book. She really doesn’t know what’s important about the book, and Whistler won’t tell, to her frustration. How can she help him if she doesn’t know what’s going on? As she signs out, she sees Lincoln’s address, logged when he visited Michael.” continue reading episode 03 recap

House Season 4

House turns out to be like a reality show! He hired 40 doctors and from this number he will only get 3 to be his team members. Of course all of them wants to be a part of it. You can really see how desperate these doctors are coz they even did a car wash for Dr. House.
It was really funny when House did a scene like that of Survivor - Tribal Council.
Anyway, I was glad to see Chase (Jesse Spencer) and Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) again. They are still in the same hospital but in a different department. As you can remember, Chase was fired by House last season while Foreman and Cameron resigned. I am hoping that they are going to go back to join Dr. House. Though I have a hunch that Foreman will go back to join House since he lost his job for ‘acting like House’ on his job.

However, I am interested to know what House did saw when he experienced nearly-death situation. ![]()
